I have been bitten...

Ever since I started doing the group bike rides, I have had the overwhelming desire to get back into triathlons. I have really had to hold myself back from registering for the 70.3 in Augusta. I have a bad habit of loading up my plate with too much and not enjoying the experience because I am too busy jetting from one activity to the next. I have spent much time perusing trifind.com in search of a race. The 70.3 Pigman in Iowa caught my eye, Augusta is insanely close to home... It is all so tempting but I have a couple of big races already on the calendar for later this year and am not sure I should shoehorn another race in the mix.

Several ladies from my tri group are doing their first tri in two weeks. It is a sprint and one I have done before. I was on the fence about registering as summer tennis starts that weekend (refer to previous mention of overloaded plates). Late yesterday, I received an email from the race organizers promoting the race. It was fate. It was as if they knew. It was... Ok, they really just had my name on file from 2 years ago and want to fill up the race, whatever. I signed up. Now to see if my BFF Hal Higdon has a 2 week triathlon plan.

That must have been quite a bite!
If you find a 2 week triathlon plan, could you please post it? :)
Hey, you're going to have fun. Have a great weekend.

Hehe, that photo reminds me of lemmings ;-)

Sounds like fun. I don't know of any 2 week plans but am sure you can wing a sprint tri.

Good Luck! I bet you are going to do great and just think how much it will mean to your friends who are in it for the first time. Cheers!

It's funny how those things work out huh?

I know what you mean about loading the plate so much you fail to stop and enjoy each experience -- I do the same thing.

Look forward to hearing about your Triathlon!

The only thing I need to do to be ready for a triathlon is get my butt back in the water. But, do you think I add that to my exercise choices, EVER? Nooooo! I really want to do another triathlon though. I think I should just sign up too!

Hahaha, loading up the plate with too much sounds so like me.

Have fun preparing for this sprint. Hey it's a double sprint. Sprinting through the preparations and the race. ;-)

Have a great weekend.

It definitely was fate, you were supposed to do it. I've been holding off on committing to a first tri of the year. Mostly the lakes are too cold this time of year up here in MN.

No tri's for me unless you're coming to do my swim leg. If I were you and I wanted to do a tri, I'd do it. Better than being part of the would've should've could've club!

One day I'm gonna conquer the tri world. First...I gotta buy a bike. I've participated in team tri's before doing the running and I can only imagine the euphoria from completing the whole thing solo. Someday!

P.S. Thanks for stopping by my blog. I appreciate the support!
