Microwave Eggs...

In keeping with my recent love for trying new things, today I poached an egg in the microwave. I know, alert the media. It is something I knew could be done just never have tried it. As you probably guessed, it was pretty simple.

I put about 2 tablespoons of water in a bowl then cracked the egg in the bowl. Make sure you loosely cover as there was some popping. I microwaved for 1:10 but I think a little less would have been better.

Check out the finished product:

Not exactly ready for the cover of a magazine but it worked. I made a sandwich with Arnold's multigrain thins, a sprinkle of cheese and some herdez salsa (salsa on eggs counts as new thing number 2 today by the way...). Not too bad, it was easy, didn't make a big mess to make and something I could do at work if i am ever in a breakfast pinch.

In other news, hubster gets released from the hospital today. Apparently, he was able to keep down a sip of water and lift his head off the pillow so that means you are good to go! I imagine had he not been in another stare away from home, they probably would have released him yesterday. They are recommending he fly home instead of make the 8 hour drive which makes it easier logisitically. I am hoping he can get bumped to first class so he will have a little more room. At least it is only a 90 minute flight.

Have a good Thursday!

This looks really funny.

Glad your husband can get home, hopefully he has a save and turbulence free flight, with good and working pain meds.

I will have to probably look back into your blog to learn more about what happened to your husband. It is great he is coming home and I wish you both he heals soon.

Eggs in a microwave? How come I have never thought of that?
