woot woot I ran today!

Finally... after 18+ days of rest, I was inspired to get my arse back in motion! It was great, felt good, all that good stuff! A quick 5 miles around Stone Mountain in 28 degree weather - amazing I can still break a sweat - darn sweaty head of mine... The plan for this weekend is to put together my training schedule for the next several months. Did I mention I registered for the Flying Pig Marathon in May?. YEP :) Several of my running friends from Disney are going. I am looking forward to it, heard it was a fun race.

In other random news... I recieved my first invite from the AARP today. Are you kidding me? Can't they give a girl a month to adjust to being 40? HA.

18 days what a break. you certainly spoiled yourself :) hopefully the legs should be perfectly fine again. i hope to do the flying pig one day but i know it's not going to fit in this year. are you making your training plan from scratch or modifying a pfitz or hal higdon type?

Hal Higdon seems to work really well for me so I am going to stick with him for the running. For the Triathlons, I am using Triathlete Magazine's Essential Week-by-Week Training Guide.

Isn't it strange to be cold and sweat?

I looked at the Flying Pig, but went with san diego. can't wait to read a review about it...then I'll probably wish I had run that!

Good luck at the Flying Pig...I have also heard it's a blast. A group from my running club is heading over there for it! Look forward to hearing about it!

So you obviously have been bitten by the marathon bug? You definitely earned those 18 days of rest
